Refund Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how charges and refunds work on the ScripX platform, an Eximfiles product, a managed venue for buying, selling, and settling RoDTEP and RoSCTL duty-credit e-scrips. It should be read with the Terms of Service.

There are no subscriptions, listing fees, or minimums. A fee arises only when a trade settles, so there is nothing to refund unless a charge has been raised on a settled trade. During early access the platform is free: zero commission and zero processing fees.

2. Fees Are Charged Only on Settlement

Settlement on ScripX is atomic delivery versus payment. Buyer funds lock in a partner-bank virtual account before any scrip moves; the transfer then executes from seller to buyer on the government ledger; and the seller payout fires on confirmation, the same business day.

  • No settlement, no fee: if a trade does not settle, no fee is charged, so no refund is required.
  • Priced before you confirm: the fee on the sell leg and the spread on the buy leg are shown in full before you accept an offer or approve a cover.
  • Papered on completion: every settled trade ships a GST invoice and a net-realisation statement, so the exact amount charged is on the record.

3. Completed Trades Are Final and Non-Refundable

A settled trade is final and irreversible. Once the scrip transfers to the buyer on the government ledger and settlement completes, the trade cannot be recalled, reversed, unwound, cancelled, or refunded. There is no cooling-off period on a completed trade.

  • Market movement is not a refund event: a change in the Scrip Reference Rate or in market price after your trade settles does not entitle either side to a refund, top-up, or unwind.
  • Change of mind is not a refund event: a buyer that has covered a Bill of Entry and a seller that has been paid out have each taken a final and binding act.
  • The only exceptions are a failed settlement (Section 5) and a confirmed billing error or misprice against the terms shown to you before you confirmed (Section 6).

4. Cancelling an Order Before Settlement

Before a trade settles there is nothing to refund, because no fee is charged until settlement. A firm offer is held open only for the seconds shown on screen and lapses on its own if it is not accepted in time; an unaccepted or expired offer creates no charge and no obligation. Where an order is accepted but settlement has not yet completed, it may be cancelled only while it remains pre-settlement and only through the Services or by contacting us; once settlement begins to execute on the government ledger it runs to completion or unwinds under Section 5, and cannot be stopped mid-way.

5. Failed Settlements and Payment Reversals Unwind the Same Day

Because funds lock before any scrip moves, a settlement that cannot complete never leaves a scrip or money in mid-transfer. A failed settlement unwinds and the buyer is refunded in full the same business day, to the source account, and any fee provisionally raised on that trade is reversed with it. You are never charged for a trade that did not complete. Where a bank reversal, mandate failure, or partner-bank delay affects a payout or a refund, we return the funds to the account they came from as soon as the banking channel allows; the timing of the credit then depends on the banks and networks involved and is outside our control.

6. Corrections, Billing Errors, and Disputes

If you believe a fee was charged in error, or a settled trade was mispriced against the terms shown to you before you confirmed it, raise a dispute within 30 days of the trade by writing to us at amin@eximfiles.io with the trade reference from your net-realisation statement. We ordinarily acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days. Where a genuine error on our side is confirmed, we correct it and refund or credit the difference. Movements in the Scrip Reference Rate or in market price after a trade settles are not billing errors and are not refundable. Disputes not resolved through this process are handled under the governing-law, arbitration, and grievance provisions of the Terms of Service.
